2.2 About SCANWEAR

SCANWEAR sells custom-printed T-shirts embedded with a unique QR code. Each QR code is personally linked to the purchaser and directs anyone who scans it to our online store. When a scan results in a sale, the QR code owner earns a commission as set out in our Referral Programme Terms.

2.3 Eligibility

You must be 18 years of age or older to make a purchase or register for a referral account. By using this site you confirm you meet this requirement.

2.4 Orders and Payment

All prices are displayed in South African Rand (ZAR) and include VAT where applicable.
Orders are confirmed only upon receipt of full payment.

3.1 Consumer Rights (Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008)

3.2 Custom-Printed Products

Because each SCANWEAR T-shirt is custom-produced with a unique QR code linked to your account, these are considered personalised goods. Under the CPA, personalised or custom-made goods are generally exempt from the standard 5-business-day return right.

However, we will accept returns or exchanges in the following circumstances:

The product arrives damaged or defective
The wrong size or product was delivered
The QR code printed on the product is non-functional

4. Referral Programme Terms

4.1 Programme Overview

The SCANWEAR Referral Programme allows customers to earn a commission when a purchase is made by someone who scanned their unique QR code. By purchasing a SCANWEAR product and activating a referral account, you agree to these Referral Programme Terms.

4.2 How It Works

Upon purchasing a SCANWEAR ORIGINAL T-shirt, you receive a unique QR code linked to your account.
When someone scans your QR code and subsequently purchases a SCANWEAR product, you earn a commission.
Commissions are tracked automatically through your account dashboard.

4.3 Commission Structure

Commission rates are published on your account dashboard and may be updated from time to time. SCANWEAR reserves the right to amend commission rates with 30 days’ notice. Commissions are calculated on the net order value (excluding VAT and shipping).

4.4 Eligibility for Commission

A commission is earned only when:

A unique QR code scan results in a completed and paid order.
The order is not subsequently cancelled or refunded.
The referral account is in good standing (not suspended or flagged for abuse).

4.5 Payout

Commissions for the previous month are paid out on the 1st day of the following month.
A minimum balance threshold is not required before payout is processed.
Payouts are made via EFT to a South African bank account registered in your name.
You are responsible for declaring commission income to SARS in accordance with South African tax law.

4.6 Prohibited Activities

The following are strictly prohibited and will result in immediate account suspension and forfeiture of commissions:

Artificial inflation of scan or click counts through bots or automated tools
Misrepresentation of SCANWEAR products or the referral programme
Creating multiple accounts to circumvent programme rules
Any fraudulent or deceptive conduct

4.7 Account Suspension

SCANWEAR reserves the right to suspend or terminate a referral account at any time if we suspect fraud, abuse, or violation of these terms. Suspected fraudulent commissions will be withheld pending investigation.

4.8 No Guarantee of Earnings

Participation in the referral programme does not guarantee any specific level of income. Commissions depend entirely on the actions of third parties (QR code scanners) and are not guaranteed by SCANWEAR.

4.9 Programme Changes or Termination

SCANWEAR may modify or terminate the referral programme at any time with 30 days’ notice. Commissions earned prior to termination will be honoured subject to verification.
